OBJECTIVE

The SysOps Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting the company’s technical infrastructure, including servers, networks, and automation tools. The SysOps Engineer ensures smooth and efficient system operations, performance monitoring, backup and data recovery operations, and security updates and patches management.

DUTIES AND TASKS

• 1. Server Management and Maintenance:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
  • Monitor server performance and ensure continuous operation.
  1. System Monitoring:
  • Use monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus to monitor performance and detect issues.
  • Set up alerts and respond promptly to critical issues.
  1. Backup and Data Recovery:
  • Implement regular backup strategies.
  • Regularly test data recovery readiness to ensure preparedness in emergencies.
  1. Update and Patch Management:
  • Regularly apply security updates and patches to ensure system security.
  • Monitor and manage updates across development, testing, and production environments.
  1. Automation and Management Tools:
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
  • Enhance daily operations through automation to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  1. Network Management:
  • Configure and maintain internal and external networks.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability.
  1. Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to the internal team and end-users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
  1. Process Documentation:
  • Accurately document technical processes and procedures.
  • Prepare and update operating and maintenance manuals.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining servers and networks.
• Experience with monitoring and automation tools.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
