Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
- Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and quality assurance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, prices, and terms.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management:
- Manage inventory levels to meet demand forecasts while minimizing carrying costs.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.
- Implement inventory control systems to track and manage stock accurately.
- Logistics & Distribution:
- Coordinate and optimize transportation and distribution networks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage logistics providers and negotiate contracts and rates.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards in logistics operations.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions in supply chain management.
- Lead initiatives for digital transformation and automation in the supply chain.
- Budgeting & Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
- Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to supply chain activities.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and finance, to align supply chain activities with company goals.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all supply chain activities.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
