Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning & Leadership:
    • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
  2. Procurement & Supplier Management:
    • Oversee the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and quality assurance.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, prices, and terms.
    • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
  3. Inventory & Warehouse Management:
    • Manage inventory levels to meet demand forecasts while minimizing carrying costs.
    • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.
    • Implement inventory control systems to track and manage stock accurately.
  4. Logistics & Distribution:
    • Coordinate and optimize transportation and distribution networks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
    • Manage logistics providers and negotiate contracts and rates.
    • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards in logistics operations.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions in supply chain management.
    • Lead initiatives for digital transformation and automation in the supply chain.
  6. Budgeting & Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
    • Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
    • Prepare financial reports and forecasts related to supply chain activities.
  7. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and finance, to align supply chain activities with company goals.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
  8. Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all supply chain activities.
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior managerial role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
