Key Responsibilities:
- Production Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day production activities and operations at the site.
- Ensure production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
- Monitor and control production schedules, inventory levels, and resource allocation.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement production plans and strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Collaborate with senior management to align production goals with business objectives.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to optimize operations.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of production and planning professionals.
- Set performance goals, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Production Scheduling:
- Create and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., supply chain, logistics) to ensure seamless operations.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that production operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., senior management, other departments) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, customers).
- Provide regular updates on production performance and planning activities.
- Crisis Management:
- Address and resolve production-related issues and disruptions promptly.
- Develop contingency plans to handle unexpected challenges.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) may be advantageous.
- Experience: Several years of experience in production management, including experience in a leadership role. Experience in the specific industry or manufacturing environment is often required.
