Job Description & Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company goals.
    • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as needed.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product development) to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  2. Team Leadership and Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing feedback and setting development goals.
    • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.
    • Foster a positive and high-performance culture within the sales team.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Oversee the management of customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any issues.
    • Develop and implement strategies for customer retention and growth.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  4. Sales Operations:
    • Monitor and analyze sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Manage the sales budget, forecasting, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure the sales team adheres to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
    • Work closely with the sales operations team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
    • Present sales results and forecasts to senior management.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales processes and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a senior sales position, preferably within the [industry].
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
