Job Description & Requirements

Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and standards to ensure products meet or exceed company and regulatory requirements.
  2. Team Leadership: Manage and lead the quality control team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  3. Process Improvement: Identify and drive process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  4. Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, FDA).
  5. Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  6. Problem Solving: Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  7. Supplier Management: Oversee supplier quality, including audits and performance evaluations.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality control activities, inspections, and tests.
  9. Customer Interaction: Address customer complaints and quality-related issues, and work on improving customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Typically, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) are often preferred.
  2. Experience: Several years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with a significant portion in a managerial role.
  3. Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  4. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and regulatory requirements.
