Job Description & Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and standards to ensure products meet or exceed company and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead the quality control team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and drive process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO, FDA).
- Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Problem Solving: Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Supplier Management: Oversee supplier quality, including audits and performance evaluations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality control activities, inspections, and tests.
- Customer Interaction: Address customer complaints and quality-related issues, and work on improving customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Typically, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) are often preferred.
- Experience: Several years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with a significant portion in a managerial role.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and regulatory requirements.
