Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage the maintenance and operations teams, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Establish performance goals and ensure that teams meet or exceed these targets.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and align maintenance activities with overall business objectives.
- Maintenance Planning & Execution:
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Coordinate and manage emergency repair activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Evaluate maintenance processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure that all systems and equipment are functioning optimally.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations and maintenance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and safe operations.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage the maintenance and operations budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Monitor and control expenses, seeking opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Evaluate and approve expenditures for maintenance and repair projects.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance and operational activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Promote a culture of safety within the team, providing training and resources to minimize risks.
- Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service delivery.
- Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring timely availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
- Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for facility and equipment maintenance and operational efficiency.
- Stay informed of industry trends and technological advancements, incorporating best practices into the organization’s operations.
- Lead initiatives to modernize equipment, processes, and systems to enhance productivity and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in maintenance and operations management, with a proven track record in a senior leadership role.
- Strong understanding of maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS), operational processes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and use metrics to drive decision-making and improve operational performance.
- Proficiency in budget management and cost control.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with project management and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
