Job Description & Requirements
The primary responsibility of the Lifting Inspector & drop Object Surveyor is to inspect and test lifting equipment and lifting gear, and to identifying and mitigating risks associated with dropped objects in various industrial settings, particularly in the oil and gas sector, ensuring they are in proper working condition and meet all applicable standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Visiting various business and industrial premises to inspect and test equipment.
- Performing periodic inspections and thorough examinations in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Carry out Drop object Survey on rigs.
- Reporting the drop object survey results with photos.
- Approving equipment by confirming specifications and conducting visual and load tests.
- Identifying and reporting defects or damage and rejecting unacceptable equipment.
- Maintaining documents and records of inspections and delivering them to the concerned department.
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures and maintaining safe working practices at all times.
