Job Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Manage the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure the efficient management of cash flow and working capital.
- Accounting Operations:
- Supervise accounting teams, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and improve accounting systems and controls to ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
- Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Banking & Treasury Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Manage banking operations, including payments, receipts, and reconciliation.
- Oversee treasury functions, including liquidity management, investment strategies, and risk management.
- Evaluate and implement banking products and services that optimize the organization’s financial position.
- Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
- Strategic Financial Planning:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and financing activities.
- Prepare financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support decision-making.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Ensure the team is well-equipped to handle the organization’s financial needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Extensive experience in finance, accounting, and banking, with a minimum of 8-10 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and banking practices.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
