Job Description & Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
    • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
    • Manage the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Ensure the efficient management of cash flow and working capital.
  2. Accounting Operations:
    • Supervise accounting teams, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
    • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Maintain and improve accounting systems and controls to ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.
    • Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  3. Banking & Treasury Management:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
    • Manage banking operations, including payments, receipts, and reconciliation.
    • Oversee treasury functions, including liquidity management, investment strategies, and risk management.
    • Evaluate and implement banking products and services that optimize the organization’s financial position.
  4. Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
    • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
  5. Strategic Financial Planning:
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
    • Participate in strategic planning initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and financing activities.
    • Prepare financial models and conduct scenario analysis to support decision-making.
  6. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
    • Ensure the team is well-equipped to handle the organization’s financial needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Extensive experience in finance, accounting, and banking, with a minimum of 8-10 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and banking practices.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
